A Game That Demands Tenacity

Hi everyone, we’re back with an update on Black Ops 7—and yes, it’s finally here as of two days ago. After sinking a good amount of time into it, I can honestly say I’m enjoying myself far more than I expected.

Jumping into Raid, Hijacked, and Express again has been a blast. These maps hit me with a wave of nostalgia every time I load in. I keep flashing back to watching FaZe Pryzee’s iconic trickshot on Express, along with all the classic FaZe montages that defined an entire era of COD sniping. It’s surreal being back on these maps with a fresh coat of Black Ops 7 polish.

But let’s put nostalgia aside for a minute, because the camo grind this year?
Absolutely atrocious.

If you thought grinding skins in Core was rough, Hardcore is on another level entirely. Nearly everyone you run into is chasing nukes or flexing high K/D ratios instead of playing for camos. And honestly, some of these players want to be the in-game equivalent of an Asura—destroying every camo grinder’s hopes in a single lobby.

Even so… I keep coming back.
Because for some reason, it’s addictive.
Infuriating, yes—but addictive.

A Game That Isn’t for Everyone

I’ll be honest: Black Ops 7 is not for everyone.

If you’re new to the franchise, or even if you’ve been playing for years but aren’t used to its pace, the game can hit like a freight train. You need real tenacity to keep up—learning weapon recoil, timing, angles, wall jumps, slide-cancels, and movement tech that defines the game’s rhythm.

If not, you’re going to get steamrolled. Easily.
But if you do have that persistence?
You’ll slot right into the chaos and start seeing progress.

Campaign and Zombies: Early Impressions

The campaign has been interesting so far. I haven’t reached the end yet, but I’m genuinely looking forward to seeing how everything wraps up. I do wish it had a bit more depth—more length, more layers, more missions—but that might just be me. Still, I’m not complaining; a good campaign is a good campaign.

As for Zombies, I haven’t touched it yet, but I already know the moment I dive in, it’s going to drain all my Multiplayer and Campaign time in one sitting. That mode has a reputation for stealing hours before you even notice.

Should You Try Black Ops 7?

If—by some stroke of luck—this blog convinces you to try out Black Ops 7, even through Game Pass, here’s your warning:

The sweats are out.
And they’re waiting.
Always.

But for what it’s worth, the anti-cheat and ban system, while a little delayed at times, does work. How long it stays consistent, we’ll see—but so far, it’s doing its job.

At the end of the day, whether you play or not is entirely your decision.
If you’re up for fast gameplay, sweaty lobbies, and a nostalgic return to classic Black Ops maps, give it a shot.
If not, no pressure—this game demands a certain mindset to truly enjoy.

For me?
Black Ops 7 has already given me more laughs, rage moments, and excitement than I expected—and I’m nowhere near done with it.
